Facilities

Whilst staying at Villa Rosalena guests may make full use of the gardens, loggia, guest lounge and pool. Complimentary drinks are offered on arrival to welcome you. Free tea and coffee making facilities are always available. A fridge is provided for guests use along with use of plates and cutlery to prepare snacks and plenty of glasses for that all important glass of vino in the evening sunshine on the loggia.

The lounge has a wide selection of guidebooks, maps and local information about places to visit and events. For relaxation there are novels, DVDs and CDs. In winter a real log fire is lit.

During the summer months cool off or splash about in the 15ft circular above ground pool.

The garden and terraces provide seating in sun and shade surrounded by Mediterranean plants and herbs. Depending on the season, help yourself to the fruits of the garden, including grape vines, figs, persimmon, walnuts, plums and fresh tomatoes. An ideal spot to relax with a good book, enjoy a chilled glass of wine or just gaze at the panoramic scenery.

Internet-free wi-fi access.

For guests without a car - we are happy to provide free pick up and drop off from the railway station at Bagni di Lucca for arrival, departure and day trips. Pick ups from Pisa airport can also be arranged.

For walkers and hikers - we are usually able to provide drop off and pick ups, cost depending on distance.

Families

Children are very welcome at Villa Rosalena; indeed, we have two of our own! A children’s bed can usually be put into a double room for an extra 15 euros (under 5s free). For older children, a large double and smaller adjacent twin room may be booked together at a special reduced family rate. These rooms have separate entrance doors and each has its own bathroom. We can loan plenty of toys, books, DVDs etc. to keep under 10s amused. Please let us know in advance if you need a cot or highchair.

Parents should however bear in mind that there are quite a few steps up to Villa Rosalena, and the garden is terraced.

Parking

Free roadside public parking is available beside the river below Villa Rosalena.

Access

From the road Villa Rosalena is reached on foot along a short cobbled lane and then a series of stone steps.
